Since 1995, the National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA) has had a vision to ensure that “disability rights and cultural diversity are valued as essential to an equitable society.”
They are a national representative Disabled People’s Organisation (DPO) that advocates federally for the human rights of people with disability, and their families, from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and non-English speaking backgrounds (NESB).
NEDA’s board and membership, CALD people with disability, have lived experience and/or profound knowledge and expertise working with people from CALD backgrounds.
They are a founding member of DPO Australia, with First People’s Disability Network, People with Disability Australia and Women with Disabilities Australia.
